About

ART-ISTS Collective (AC) is an artist-led initiative founded in 2025. The collective was established to address structural gaps within the arts industry by creating more accessible exhibition opportunities for artists and making the purchase of artworks more attainable for collectors and enthusiasts.

AC is committed to expanding who can participate in and benefit from the arts ecosystem. By lowering barriers to exhibition and building transparent, sustainable models of engagement, the collective supports artists in presenting and selling their work within a collaborative and community-oriented framework.

The collective also operates through an open, interdisciplinary approach, inviting curators and creative producers to activate the space through visual art initiatives, performance, and sound-based programming. Through these dynamic activations, ART-ISTS Collective seeks to cultivate dialogue, experimentation, and meaningful exchange between artists, audiences, and cultural practitioners.

MEET OUR

-ists

We have a number of “-ists” within our collective. The main characters here are: Dr Rachel Baasch (our researcher and theorist), Niamh Walsh-Vorster (journalist and anthropologist turned producer and photomaker), Robyn Vahed (the actionist who gets it all done). With backpacks full of curatorial, administrative and artistic specialisations, we look forward to collaborating on projects and exhibitions in our space.
